Just wondering if compiling multiple programs at once is a good idea? I would think that it wouldn't be. What would happen, let's say, if I deceided to compile gnumeric, gnucash, and guppi all at the same time? I believe these apps share some common dependencies, would these dependencies be compiled seperately 3 times OR would it only be compiled once and then recognized by the other two compiling programs? I hope this is making sense.
If you can't compile multiple apps at the same time, is there a way to write a shell script that queues up emerge commands?

Ex.
emerge gnumeric
emerge gnucash
emerge guppi

or can I simply type <emerge gnumeric gnucash guppi>

Just curious, Thanks in Advance!

Just type: emerge <list of apps to emerge>
