Mythtv PVR 500 s-video

How can I record something from my vcr using the s-video on my pvr 500 card?
I tried during live tv hitting the c button to change the input but nothings happens. Do I need to configure something?

Hi again!

Assuming that you're trying to do it using Myth, you'd need to setup a separate video input in mythtv-setup that's associated with the s-video input of the card, then you can set a manual recording for a particular time length. You might have to setup a fake channel for the input to be able to record, and you might also be able to watch that source in Live TV and just press 'r' to start recording instead of setting up a recording period.

Sorry that it's a bit vague, but it's been years since I've done that.
