The idea of a LiveCD is very nice - unfortunately, it seems that the only installation info provided is not for the LiveCD, but rather for a standard installation.
I'm running it on an 800 mhz iBook. There are two things I'd like to do.
The first is to set a Dvorak keyboard layout. I guess I just need to know what to type when Xeasyconf asks me. I tried typing "dvorak" and it didn't work.
The second is simple: how do I get KDE to start? After I run xstart I only get a few Xterm windows.
Thanks,
Kirk |

Well, I'm not sure about the dvorak keyboard layout thing. That probably can be done via loadkeys?
/usr/share/keymaps/i386/dvorak should have a bunch of stuff you can look at. That works for the console... you would ask why i386 - I don't know... but it works
2nd: I didn't get the kde livecd; instead, I got the gnome livecd. I started Gnome by running GDM. I think there should be a KDM included on the KDE livecd.
Try that. If not I think you can also edit the /etc/rc.conf file to modify which wm to load.
Hope this helps!! _________________ "Everyone is someone's weirdo"
