cardoe@gentoo.org masked asterisk >1.4.0 with the following entry a few days ago:
Code: | # Doug Goldstein <cardoe@gentoo.org> (10 Oct 2007)
# the Asterisk is coming! the Asterisk is coming!
>=net-misc/zaptel-1.4.0
>=net-misc/asterisk-1.4.0 |
Portage has only up to 1.2.21.1. The layman overlay voip has up to version 1.4.12.1, and all of the 1.4 version in that overlay are masked.
Why are higher version numbers masked in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask? What's the purpose of this file? I have the appropriate keywords in /etc/portage/package.keywords, yet I still can't emerge the version I want (from the overlay). |
