salve a tutti,
ho scaricato e compilato xmame e gxmame, ho provato (per quel che ricordavo) a impostare le giuste directory (le roms le ho su un cd, senza occupare spazio su hd). purtroppo al momento di lanciare qualche gioco mi parte la schermata (sia in fullscreen che su finestra) nera di caricamento, ma prima ancora che appaia qualcosa il gioco muore e ritorno alla schermata di gxmame senza errori. ho settato anche il debug per vedere qualche errore ma risulta tutto perfetto.
avete mica qualche consiglio da darmi?

Dai un'occhiata al file di log o posta le ultime righe.
