This is a fyi post. kdejava adds the kde look and feel to your java applications. It's not installed by default when kde is and I highly recommend installing it. Your java desktop applications will look much better and eclipse seems to run a little faster with it. This may be from the SWT rendering UI widgets from the KDE library as opposed to the JVM widget library. It seems like kdejava would be installed by portage if the java and kde use variables are present. But in any case it's not and is highly recommended. |
