Im trying to install Office2003 using wine and I'm getting the error you see in my title line. I have read some of the documentation over at winehq website, but couldnt find anything that could point me in the right direction. Can someone tell me what I need to do? I'm well aware of other office suites native to linux, however, at the moment at least I would like to keep using office. This and Quickbooks are the only two programs that keep me from using gentoo 100%. Thanks in advance. _________________ Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P Motherboard

Are you sure that setuppro.exe exists in your wine environment ? It does not exist in my wine installation. Typical location where it should reside is "~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/". You may have to copy setuppro.exe from your windows installation. _________________ Hermann |

Thanks for the reply,
I think part of the problem is the fact that I dont quite understand how wine operate. I have wine installed and was trying to install office 2003 ( setuppro.exe) which i have on a cdrom. I put the cd in the cdrom drive and started wine by running " winecfg". The I issued the command " wine /mnt/cdrom/setuppro.exe which generated the error message that I have as my title. I hope this helps clarify the situation. Thanks in advance. _________________ Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P Motherboard
