I will shortly be setting up a dual boot system with Gentoo and WinXP, one partition for each and a 3rd shared (read FAT) partition that both can read/write. I want to use VMWare Workstation under both Gentoo and WinXP to boot the other one if need be. Since the hardware for the VMware machine "hardware" is totally different than the actual machine hardware I will need hardware profiles for each OS. I'm sure I will have no probs figuring out how to do this for windows, but i have no idea how to go about this with gentoo... can anyone point me to some reading material? |

It won't work that way. Read the docs on the VMware pages. |
