Hi!!!
I have a problem with my Kopete, when I start it, it takes a couple minutes (could be 5 minutes), to load, and if I press a shortcut key related with Kopete, all KDE session gets freeze, until Kopete completes load, then all continues working well.
Do you have some idea to solve this?

in my particular case, i discover that kopete delays because it was loading statistical data for "statictics plug in".
So try to disable it, and test again.
in this file '~/.kde/share/config/kopeterc', there is the folowing line:
| Code: | kopete_statisticsEnabled=true
|
so put this to false, to disable it.
