I have an email alias set up with my postfix system that users can send an email to, requesting a file. the reply will be a short message with the file (always the same file, ie myzip.zip) attached.
what's the easiest way to implement this? |

The last time I looked at this (before postfix) I thought procmail
was the way to go. You setup scripts to 'read' your incoming mail
and do whatever with it.
If it's really simple you could write a shell
script to do it. There was an option in the alias files to specify that
'program x' would be invoked whenever mail came in to a specific
account. Program x could be a shell script that replies, trashes,
or forwards the mail it gets. |
