Printer stopped working [SOLVED]

I've Brother DCP-115C, cups 1.2.12, udev 115.

This multifunction device is connected. Scanning works.

Printing worked some days ago, I don't remember exactly, maybe3-5...

Now printing doesn't work, in http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/ I see:
"Printer not connected; will retry in 30 seconds..."

So I tryed downgrading udev, changing permissions in /etc/udev/rules.d/51-libsane.rules

I've recompiled cups, reinstalled required drivers (cupswrapper and lpr driver)...

Don't know what to do.

OK, cups's wizard is adding a printer with URI usb://Brother/DCP-115C, or usb://foo,
changing it to:
file:/dev/usb/lp0
solved the issue.

Now I will fins how to print with normal, 'usb' URIs...

Hey, exactly the same problem with my Brother DCP-130C. The fix also worked for me - there must be something going wrong with the CUPS "usb://" uris. I'm reporting it to the CUPS folks.

Hace 3 dias dejo de funcionarme la impresora y ya lo habia reistalado todo
cambiar la uri de la conexion me lo ha solucionado

Thanks for the workaround, but I don't consider this "solved." It needs to get fixed.
