Hi,

I've tryed to emerge mozilla-1.3-r1 tonight and i'm keap getting this error, does anyone got it to ?

Code:

checking for gtk-config... /usr/bin/gtk-config
checking for GTK - version >= 1.2.0... no
*** Could not run GTK test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK was incorrectly installed
*** or that you have moved GTK since it was installed. In the latter case, you
*** may want to edit the gtk-config script: /usr/bin/gtk-config
configure: error: Test for GTK failed.

!!! ERROR: net-www/mozilla-1.3-r1 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 358, Exitcode 1
!!! (no error message)

Help pls.

Thanks in advance

Strange.... but have you tried re-emerging GTK?

(never errored out on me when I was emerging it)

good way to test I guess is to be in X Windows, open a terminal and type:
Code:
gtk-demo

Now if this doesn't works, correct me if I'm wrong, then GTK either isn't installed, corrupted, or installed incorrectly. (you should get a window with a list of different features and code samples for GTK)

If the demo doesn't fly then just:
Code:
emerge gtk+

then of course, if all goes well, you can:
Code:
emerge mozilla

oh yea... and if you *dont* use GTK or have no need for it, for whatever reason, I dont believe that Mozilla actually depends on it, its just an option.
so you could try setting your Make.conf USER variable to -gtk+ !?

just a thought... hope it helps
