It's still toy avatar week, but no porno stuff, because our grannies (and others) may get offended. Apologies for my drunken post last night.

Simple: I worship the devil.

You've got to remember how censorship works. Sex = evil. Anything that reminds anyone of sex = evil. Excessive violence with gore = somewhat evil. Everything else is fine. I can't blame the mods/admins for this, either; not their fault. The PC police operates on a much broader level.

My previous avatar wasn't sex dolls, those were little (albeit anatomically correct; I have more pics) figurines.

edit: you and drizek should probably change your avatars before you get a spanking

for the record: im completely disappointed by this mod decision.

for the record II: if my granny asks, my avatar shows a teddy bear getting undressed to brutally sodomize the stuffed toy bunny.

edit: the toy bunny does not consent, is male AND underage.

It wasn't really a mod decision; they're being subordinate to the PC police and they don't have much of a choice in the matter. For the record, my avatar is about to devour the souls of the PC police.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't reported, but a major forum belonging to a significant Linux distribution is expected to follow certain "social standards". It's the people who are responsible for setting those social standards (not fgo mods/admins) that I want to brutally murder. Unfortunately, taking a stand against this via looser forum guidelines would simply be bad politics. (I seriously hope nobody here pretends that this is anything more than politics.)

Just to be clear here before I get an "official warning", I'm not trying to flame anyone in particular and I'm not trying to question the mods' decision.

If it was just OTW then I don't think the mods would have done anything about it, but honestly the avatars you had (well, not so much freelights, but the others) were not suitable for the rest of the forums, and the fact that some of you only really post in OTW is irrelevant.

Are we going to go through this shit about avatars yet again.... I was around when the option to not display avatars was added to the user profile FOR THIS VERY REASON! The mods/admins at that time then told people who didn't want to hurt their poor sensibilities by seeing possibly offensive avatars to just turn them off in their profile. Personally, I think the admins who worry themselves over this non-issue should just head over to the Ubuntu forums. They would fit right in with the PC Police, I mean admins, there...

I find these avatars offensive and would NOT want to explain them to anyone. They must be removed and sanity returned to the space-time continuum.

That would cause a temporal inversion paradox and make the universe implode (again).

Eh, don't give the mods such a hard time. I don't think my avatar would even have been considered work-safe. :P

We had our little mischief, now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Classic. :D

Although I don't really have a problem with their forums, or most of the users. It is just the sometimes overbearing moderation style and occasional hypocrisy by their admins, that ticks me off. Unfortunately, these forums seem to be starting down the same path.

Looks more like a butt plug to me. But then that may offend someone's poor sensitivities. My bad.

Na, me neither.
Especially if whatshisname gets in as a mod here. 8O

Heh, hold that thought while viewing the origin.
