|
|
Hey guys,
Having a few problems installing the 2007 version on MS Virtual PC. I have a virtual machine set up, but not formatted (Virtual PC 2007 does not appear to support the Linux file system). When trying to run from the PPC-universal install CD, it tries to get a network connection, which it cant, because I'm on wireless with WEP encryption.
Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated!
cheers,

Virtual PC shares the computer's network connection, you do however need to make sure that your virtual machine is set to get network sharing. _________________ ECS GeForce6100SM-M Motherboard

Doesn't MS Virtual PC emulate Microsoft compatible hardware ?
If that is the case, then you would want a Gentoo x86 CD, instead of a Gentoo ppc CD (even if your actual hardware is PPC). |

yeah, i realised that last night *doh* I think I got a bit click-happy. I have given up on it for now, having problems with the VM capturing the mouse etc that i need to sort out as well, and I'm away this weekend, so it will have to wait until next week now.
cheers guys,
