Update: It's a new motherboard, and as such It's can be refunded. As a search of all other distro's has proven to find no one who has a solution, I'm closing this message and calling it a loss. Knoppix, Ubuntu, Gentoo, and Suse all fail to do anything with the board. Damn intel...
I am attempting to install Gentoo 2007.0 on a newly built system.
As I can't get far enough to run lspci, here is the link to the manufacture page:

It is using a dual core CPU.
The x86 Live DVD, as well as minimal CD do not boot at all.
memtest86 works just fine and says the 1gb memory checks out... If I just try to let it run, it locks up after it loads gentoo.igz and blanks the screen.
So, I tried using gentoo-nofb. When I do that, it gets to the acpi settings and locks up completely. So my next step was to add the parameter acpi=off.
It gets as far as loading the modules, and then says :

What should I do/try next?

Does it us a Jmicron Sata controller??
It sounds like a HD connection problem... |

Not exactly sure how to pry the chipset information out of it, but both drives are connected through the IDE cable rather then the SATA.
The printed manual that came with the board doesn't contain very much technical information...
And the technical specification document doesn't say much more then there are 4 ports. yay.
Any thoughts?

I've downloaded an ubuntu disk and it seems to load, not sure about installing yet.
I found a article on installing Gentoo from ubuntu, so I may go with that .
Networking does not work at all, but the usb disk does. So here's a dump of lspci:
