|
|
I have a dual monitor setup and UT by default runs across both screens and UT2k3 appears only on the right half of the right monitor. Is there any way I can get these games to just start in a window?
Thanks

You can switch to window mode by pressing Alt+Enter in both of them. If you want to release your mouse in UT2k3, you press Ctrl+G. Be warned that windowed mode asks a lot more of your system. It won't play that smooth anymore. You better thinker around a bit with your settings so that it only runs on one screen. _________________ Life is like a box of chocolates... Alt+Enter does work for in-game but for startup you can do this:
For UT you want to edit a file called UnrealTournament.ini which on my system is in ~/.loki/UT/System/ Then you want to find the line that says Code: | StartupFullscreen=True | and change that to False.
UT2003 is slightly more complicated and on my system I edit ~/.ut2003/System/UT2003.ini. There you need to find two sections: Code: | [WinDrv.WindowsClient]
StartupFullscreen=True
[SDLDrv.SDLClient]
StartupFullscreen=True | Change both of those to False and you should be good to go. |

WinDrv is for Windows. SDLDrv is for linux. |

Oops, yeah you are right. I could have sworn yesterday though when I just commented out the SDL one it still wasn't starting windowed. It works now though. : / |
