No CONFIG_USB_KBD in 2.6 vanilla-sources !?!

I just built a machine using vanilla sources to run vmware-server on and I noticed that there's no option for usb keyboard (CONFIG_USB_KBD) in the kernel config with 2.6.21.6. When did that get torn out of the kernel, or is this only the case for amd64? I guess I will see if it's available for gentoo-sources now, but this seems really strange to me. Thanks,
