|
|
I've downloaded and burned about 10 copies of the LiveCD and every single one that i've burned has given me squashfs error randomly. The first time I couldn't run mke2fs because squash fs was bad, then i couldn't get into X (on the installer version) because of a squash fs error, and then on the latest, i got into X but it randomly hung while I was trying to mount my partitions. I've also tried the minimal CD to the same effect. I'm running the amd64 version on an intel quad core.
Does anyone know what is causing this?
Thanks.

is the iso correct (check md5sum)?
set your burning program to verify the burn

i ran the checksum and it passed and i also verified it with the burner. the suggestion on #gentoo-amd64 was to use a knoppix livecd or ubuntu (i'm trying kubuntu) |
