|
|
Would anyone be able to provide so suggestions for getting my keyboard to work before gentoo actually starts? What happens now is grub loads up, my windows and linux options are there but i cant select either, i have to wait for the countdown to finish for it to auto select.
Once it loads, everything is fine. Im using a basic Dell keyboard and Dell mouse plugged into the motherboards integrated USB ports.
Thanks in advance.

Does your USB Keyboard work to get into the BIOS?
There are probably some things to setup in there for it to work... |

It does work to get into the BIOS, but as soon as grub loads up, it stops, then starts working again after Linux starts up. Shoul di just use ps/2? |

Make sure your bios has legacy support for USB keyboards turned on. This should allow Grub to see the keyboard.
On some BIOSes (like mine) the BIOS can use USB keyboards regardless of the legacy support setting. |
