Not sure what Wired magazine was thinking - but they named Larry one of the lamest tech icons!

I can see how someone would think that Larry is lame (I personally like Larry the Cow).

However, it seems they also thought that Tux was lame!

But really, we are users of Gentoo Linux. Gentoo == a penguin. Gentoo != cow. We need a penguin mascot, not a cow mascot.

Actually, if you read the commentary, it seems the pictures are a mixture of lame and cool mascots. I read the article a while ago, but if I recall, they were saying Larry was cool.
