Larry is a unique mascot in that he is a cow with a guys name. All I have to say to them is...

I really like Larry for what he is:
At the very least utterly (gender) confused and peaceful. It's a refreshing alternative to all the either offensely cute or aggressive looking mascots of other projects.
I 'm just not sure one would want a logo that rather looks like it needs serious help.
Larry i love you. _________________ I'm a membar of Mesnar and me scull contains wakky secrets! |

Don't like the cow. The purple metallic "G" is fine by me.
Also glad KDE saw fit to take that fruity dragon behind the barn and shoot it too. |

For me being a swiss guy, loving Gentoo and cheese Larry the cow really rocks hardly!!! In my point of view, the penguin is more likely a mascot for Linux in general, whereas Gentoo needs a mascot for his own. A cow stands for a rock-stable and calm character... Maybe it should be some sort of sports-cow, since using Gentoo gives you (as far as I know...) the fastest distribution out there, while it still resides rock-stable. So I think, a cow is a good choice! The transsexuality is an issue though, still I like cows more than bulls...
What about Claudia, the sports-cow? |

| I'm using larry the cow theme for gdm. I like it better than the normal gentoo logo. |

Larry is OK!
The G logo looks like a chopped off fish head (from the right), or a laughing fish sticking it's head above the water or something (from the left). Still not clear to me... _________________ Cheeers. |

If larry should be doing any sport-like activity, it should be either dancing/break-dancing or martial arts. _________________ The only real failing is when you stop trying. |

I love Larry too. I've no problem with the fact that it's a cow with a guys name. I used to have problems with the purple colour of Gentoo and the funny shaped "g", but it seems as if I even got used to that.
And who says Linux must be penguin? what really distinguishes Gentoo from the others is Larry!! |

| I felt better about Larry the Cow making that list after I saw that Tux made the list (Lame? WTF? That's blasphemy!) as well as the Mozilla dinosaur. I think the article writers just weren't cool enough to appreciate art. However, I would have to agree that the creepy Adobe jester thing was terrible - though it was more frightening than lame. And of course the Sun blob further reinforces Sun's commitment to lameness. |

| What about the KDE dragon? How did they miss that? Larry and Tux are way cooler than Konqi |

You see a chopped-off fish head. I see a pre-menstrual Ms Pac-Man nagging after Pac-Man. Of course, that might explain why I'm divorced.
Walruses are mean. We should go with something really ridiculous like the Manatee! |

Do you think that HowTo could be adapted to my bonsai kitty? I've been trying to figure out what to do with it for years and it's getting pretty big now.
