Xawtv won't go fullscreen on radeon

I can't get my xawtv to go fullscreen. When I attempt fullscreen, it has a black border around the edge. I am aware that I need to use scaling. I have the v4l X module loaded in and still nothing.

Does the Xfree 4.2 radeon driver support scaling? I found a project (GATOS) that I think solves this, but I couldn't figure out if this was for the ATI tuners or video cards.

I'm not sure where to go from here, so any help would be appreciated.

I use ctrl+alt+- before I go to fullscreen when im going to watch tv. Its not the perfect solution but it works.
