Hi,

I've read the infor pages on the project: http://www.ltsp.org/
However Im curious how it performs on an everyday basis. How well is the implementation? Do things respond so u get the feeling of sitting in front of a "real" PC?

How does the project perform compared to MS-terminal server / Citrix Mainframe ?

I know this isnt directly "Desktop" issue, but my main concern is the desktop-performance...ie. Does KDE work fast and furious or what

Well, as long as your network is not to slow or loaded,
there is no difference to sitting in front of the machine;
Try it out:
emerge ltsp-core, change those config-files and there u go;

or just do a
X :1 -query somehost,
where somehost is a machine that has a login-manager
(like kdm|gdm|xdm with Xdmcp enabled) running...

it's worth trying...
