Salve, il problema è questo:
molti computer Olidata (sia dekstop che notebook) hanno il suddetto chipset di scheda sonora, che funziona bene solamente con alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc6 il cui ebuild è stato recentemente rimosso dal portage. Le nuove versioni di alsa-driver funzionano "a caso" (cosa improponibile per Linux  ).
Vorrei chiedere a qualcuno di rimettere l'ebuild, ma non so a chi rivolgermi... qualcuno può aiutarmi?
EDIT: Ho segnalato il problema su Bugzilla. Speriamo in una risposta veloce visto che il problema è minimale  |

Io ho risolto il problema con un alsa vecchia versione (non ricordo quale però  ) mettendo il sampling rate a 48000 nelle proprietà di artsd sotto kde. Spero ti possa essere d'aiuto...

Beh preferisco non usare "toppe" per risolvere problemi, ma affrontarli dalla radice

io ho una via8233 e alsa 0.9.3 funziona benissimo...
mmm immagino che 8233 e 8233a siano diverse... |

OK, acpi=off ... ma poi il computer fa l'halt correttamente (cioè spegnendo completamente la macchina)? Ora non posso provare perchè non ho i computer (anzi i proprietari dei computer  ) in questione a portata di mano!

beh, puoi sempre usare l'apm, no? io uso apm e va benissimo. In base alla tua scheda madre devi disabilitare/abilitare a seconda la seguente 'feature' del kernel:
in:
| Code: | | Power management options (ACPI, APM) |
| Code: | | [ ] Use real mode APM BIOS call to power off |
Nel mio caso non l'ho abilitato, altrimenti non mi spegne il piccì.
