So as of check bug #168529 Wordpress blog software has been hard-masked. This is the first time any software I use all the time has been taken out of the emerge stream. So how long will this last? I hear that 2.1.2 is out and address some if not all the issues. If I'm wrong let me know. If there are work around/s that will make this software workable again and secure in the normal sense of the word, I'd love to here what others are doing.

it will probably last for a while, as it has had a stream of security issues lately.

Hmmm.... I like this blog software  Okay this might not be the right place to ask this. But would be and equally good blog app?

You can continue to use it, with a manual installation if you want to. Just keep yourself apprised of the security issues.
If you do want to move to something else, Serendipity or b2evolution could both be quite good, depending on exactly you want. |
