I experienced the same this morning and unmerging emul-linux-x86-medialibs solved the blocking issue and I could emerge the baselibs. After that I checked with another 'emerge -uNDvp world' whether I have to re-emerge medialibs but this was not the case. So far no problems but I'm not intensivley using those libs ....

Which is perhaps the only package that uses any emul libraries on my system  |
