I have a movie in avi format I want to watch, but about 45 seconds in Xine burps and stops, and so does mplayer.
Can anyone recommend a techinque to repair this borked movie? |

this will let you strip and rebuild the index:
http://divfix.maxeline.com
source code is available but it's written in delphi or some such scary thing, so I never tried building it myself. also, you'll need to install kylixlibs3-borqt.
would be nice if virtualdub was not only for win32... |

How about talking to the mplayer or xine people?
And, BTW, if you give no information we really can't help you. The mplayer docs (which you've read, right?) do say to give more information than "it doesn't work".
in the meantime try running mplayer with -forceidx and see if it can "see" the whole movie. |
