|
|
Hello!
I am an avid and newcome Gentoo Linux user, but I don't have an internet connection at home for now.
Is there any way to download a package (and all it's dependencies, please! ) from WindozeXP? I mean, some kind of Emerge for windows to download packages with their dependencies, being able to choose your architecture (Windoze sucks in x86 and my Gentoo rocks on PPC-MAc_Mini Beastie boy).
Thanks in advance! |

Thanks in advance! | Gentoo's portage only works with POSIX (Unix-like) operating systems, so as far as I know there is no such solution for Windows (also virtually none of the packages are binary compatible with Win32). As for other options, I know not. |

VanFanel,
Welcome to gentoo.
You need sneakernet If you search the forums, you will find some scripts that help with this process too. _________________ Regards,
