I'm probably doin' something stupid, but I want to re-emerge mplayer after emerge faab2 (which is masked).
I am not trying to emerge a masked mplayer, just re-emerge the one I already have installed.
However, none of the mirrors seem to have the file default-skin-0.1.tar.bz2

After reading the ebuild, it seems that it will only try to download that file if "gtk" is a USE variable. However, it is in by default by use of the IUSE flag inside the ebuild. To get around this, I had to put "-gtk" in my USE variables, which I have never had in my USE variables.
Anyway... why is this happening? What would happen if someone just finished installing gentoo and tried to emerge mplayer? They would be SOL? |
