Don't you find it takes you longer to create pages with xml though? I mean you're cutting off your flexibility by using that kind of strict structure, if you decided you wanted to change something unexpectedly, I think you'd have more work than just using straight html, no?

Hey dude! Thanks for the background song. New artist discovered. Very nice post-rock, though in last.fm they are tagged as emo.

Edit: Sadly they are emo... But this song is very worth for buying an album...

no, i don't, it only takes longer if i make mistakes, as the page won't render at all if there's one single mistake.

but in my day to day updates and edits, it's much faster for me to update it from home, work, and school where we are restricted from most things.

a web-based form / cms , would be faster though, and i will update it in the future, or just use wordpress. but like i said, it's an experiment, and as far as static html/xml goes, i like this way better.

if i need to change something in style, i can do it all in one page, as opposed to html, where you have to commit your change in every page.

thanks for the input.

For people who dont wanna fight trying to get beryl to work, there's a distro called Sabayon that comes with it preinstalled. And for all those Gentoo lovers (me included) its actually built on Gentoo! And for everyone thinking "man my computer could never run that" I ran it at work on a dell with a p4 2.8Ghz with shitty on board video and it runs perfect. It of course doesn't load very quickly, but it runs really really well, really surprised me. Also with Sabayon, you can just boot from the DVD straight into beryl, no need to install!

sayabon is something you dont want to install on your computer, unless you like having 500 programs you wont use... It is a nifty live dvd but takes foooorrrreeeevvvveeeerrrr to boot.
