I installed the new xine 1beta12 and it says it can do svg3 now... but it still says it is using the quicktime dll... what the hell! I installed ffmpeg... but from what I read, ffmpeg code is in xinelib already... so why isn't it working?

i had this and deleted my .xine/config and all was well. quick diff showed that the main difference seemed to be moving qtv_priority up to 1 (previously 6). hth. |

I tried that, plus I did
Code: |
emerge sync
emerge -u xine-lib
emerge clean
emerge -u xine-ui
emerge clean
rm ~/.xine/config
|
and it still grabs the win32 quicktime first. Do I need a special USE variable? |

Yeah, you're right, changing qtv_priority to 1 makes it use the ffmpeg svq3 decoder.
Funnily enough it keeps skipping large amounts of frames (50-60) using the ffmpeg decoder with the 1000x540 matrix reloaded trailer wheras the win32dll decoder works perfectly. Oh well I'm sure they'll fix it. |
