Wine DirectDraw = black display.

I'm trying to run this application in Wine. It's not a game (it's actually an electronic flight information system simulator) but it uses DirectDraw. Unfortunately, the output is just a black window. I tried setting DirectDrawRenderer to "opengl" but that made it even worse by obliterating the menu. Anyone know of a way to get this working correctly?

I dout you get it working without additional patches... or hacks.

I guess the problem is likely that app mix gdi and ddraw that causes Wine to draw black surface above the app surface... other
possibily is that app fakes use of Direct3D even if it still uses just 2D in that case you might also get black screen.

Try to replace the .wine/drive_c/windows/ddraw.dll with a "hacked" version.

This is for Worms , but the dll should work for other Ddraw Games too .
