Hi,
I am using gentoo with amd64 arch.
Unfortunately I can not start 2 programms: openoffice.bin and googleearth
May it is a general problem because firefox-bin didn't work neither, but this was easy to solve - the source version compiles quite fast.

$ googleearth
/opt/googleearth/googleearth: line 49: /opt/googleearth/googleearth-bin: cannot execute binary file
/opt/googleearth/googleearth: line 49: /opt/googleearth/googleearth-bin: Success
$ oowriter2
/usr/lib32/openoffice/program/soffice: line 222: /usr/lib32/openoffice/program/pagein: cannot execute binary file
/usr/lib32/openoffice/program/soffice: line 234: /usr/lib32/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: cannot execute binary file

What might be the problem? Wth OO there is an alternative - the source code version, but this will take too long ...
Does any recognized the problem and solved or has any ideas?

for oo i would Code: | emerge -C openoffice-bin && emerge openoffice |
would be done or almost done now IF you would have started it when you first thought about it :p
and for google earth try starting it with /home/username/google-earth//googleearth %f _________________ - Failure is not an option. It's bundled with your software. |

Hi,
it was my fault, bad configuration of the kernel, forgot IA32 support.
