Bonsoir,

sun une install, j'ai le disque de Linux (hdd) qui à "sauté", donc en gros il ne boot plus.

J'ai regardé avec le livecd, impossible de monter la partition :

/ => hdd1 (c'est aussi la partition qui boot)

Code:

livecd ~ # mount /dev/hdd1 /mnt/gentoo/
mount: special device /dev/hdd1 does not exist

livecd ~ # dmesg | grep hdd
    ide1: BM-DMA at 0xff08-0xff0f, BIOS settings: hdc:pio, hdd:DMA
hdd: Maxtor 6Y080L0, ATA DISK drive
hdd: max request size: 128KiB
hdd: Host Protected Area detected.
hdd: Host Protected Area disabled.
hdd: 160086528 sectors (81964 MB) w/2048KiB Cache, CHS=65535/16/63, UDMA(133)
hdd: cache flushes supported
 hdd: unknown partition table

cfdisk /dev/hdd =>

FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 0: Partition begins after end-of-disk
                                                                      Press any key to exit cfdisk

avec fdisk:
Code:

The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 158816.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
   (e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

Command (m for help): p

Disk /dev/hdd: 81.9 GB, 81964302336 bytes
16 heads, 63 sectors/track, 158816 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 = 516096 bytes

This doesn't look like a partition table
Probably you selected the wrong device.

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/hdd1   ?     1666499     3621231   985184692+  5b  Unknown

Partition 4 does not end on cylinder boundary.

Partition table entries are not in disk order

Command (m for help): v
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Partition 2: head 115 greater than maximum 16
Partition 3 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Partition 3: head 102 greater than maximum 16
Warning: partition 1 overlaps partition 3.
Partition 4 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Partition 4: head 115 greater than maximum 16
Warning: partition 1 overlaps partition 4.
Total allocated sectors -645621020 greater than the maximum 160086528

Alors la bête question: y aurait'il un remède miracle ???

Ah, une dernière, on sais jamais:
Code:

livecd ~ # cat /proc/partitions
major minor  #blocks  name
   7     0      44252 loop0
  22    64   80043264 hdd
   8     0  245117376 sda
   8     1   50821596 sda1
   8     2          1 sda2
   8     5  112262188 sda5
   8     6   82027858 sda6

livecd ~ # hdparm /dev/hdd

/dev/hdd:
 multcount    = 16 (on)
 IO_support   =  0 (default 16-bit)
 unmaskirq    =  0 (off)
 using_dma    =  1 (on)
 keepsettings =  0 (off)
 readonly     =  0 (off)
 readahead    = 256 (on)
 geometry     = 65535/16/63, sectors = 160086528, start = 0

Enjoy !
