Hello,

I just tried to install ut2004 as a dedicated server, current version being 3369.

Code:
emerge ut2004-ded

It downloaded the files, but after it compiles the package and skips the test phase, the following error occurs:
Quote:
>>> Source compiled.
>>> Test phase [not enabled]: games-server/ut2004-ded-3369

>>> Install ut2004-ded-3369 into /var/tmp/portage/games-server/ut2004-ded-3369/image/
category games-server
* This will take a while ... go get a pizza or something
rm: cannot remove `/var/tmp/portage/games-server/ut2004-ded-3369/image///opt/ut2004-ded
/System/{ucc-bin-linux-amd64}': No such file or directory
rm: cannot remove `/var/tmp/portage/games-server/ut2004-ded-3369/image///opt/ut2004-ded
/System/{ucc-bin-macosx}': No such file or directory

!!! ERROR: games-server/ut2004-ded-3369 failed.
Call stack:
ebuild.sh, line 1580: Called dyn_install
ebuild.sh, line 1030: Called src_install
ut2004-ded-3369.ebuild, line 49: Called die

!!! removing unused binaries
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

The box is a pIII @ 866MHz (don't know what it wants with amd64 or macosx).
Anyone got any ideas?. :? Thanx.

You probably have amd64 in /etc/make.conf - remove it.

Try changing the line in the ebuild to:
Code:
rm ${Ddir}/System/ucc-bin-{linux-amd64,macosx}

That redundant extra pair of curly brackets might be rejected by the unstable bash.

OK, changing the line:
Quote:
rm ${Ddir}/System/{ucc-bin-{linux-amd64,macosx}}

to
Quote:
rm ${Ddir}/System/ucc-bin-{linux-amd64,macosx}

in /usr/portage/games-server/ut2004-ded/ut2004-ded-3369.ebuild seems to do the trick.
Thanx a lot :D
