Yeah your right, the menu.lst isn't even in memory yet before this error happens. This happens between the time when the system sees the bootloader on the disk, and getting to the stage2 portion of grub where it does the work to make the screen and show a menu. Basically, it either works or it doesn't I guess
I haven't mailed the grub guys yet because I haven't even figured out how yet. I need to hop over to the site and take a look for a section labeled, "Now for the reason why you use open-source..." *jk* |
