Hey,
I am a happy owner of Ati mobility radeon X1800 card that didn't have any problems with it (games and xgl work properly). However, I am still annoyed by the fact that I haven't got the framebuffer so that my terminal has some terrible resolution. I know that there are lots of posts on this forum about ati and framebuffer, but most of them are relatively old and confusing. So could someone tell me is it possible or not to change the resolution of the console with an ati card (using fglrx)?
Cheers
Wojtek

Summing up - if I use fglrx, I will never get framebuffer working:/.

Did you try it? I'm not sure, I don't use fglrx myself so didn't test it. But I do hear that there are some incompatibility/clashing going on between them.
Also it is vice versa, if get framebuffer working, you may not be able to use fglrx.
