I have emerged kde-startkde with a couple other packages kdeadmin, kdenetwork etc yet startkde is no where to be found on my system. I think I searched through every KDE post on here but didn't see anyone with this issue. Not much to go from on the gentoo kde faq page either on correcting this. Thanks in advance.

| I assume you mean kdebase-startkde. If the file isn't in /usr/kde/3.5/bin/, then you'll probably just have to re-emerge kdebase-startkde. |

Yes, sorry that was a typo. So I should
| Code: | | emerge --unmerge kdebase-startkde |
then
| Code: | | emerge kdebase-startkde |
correct? |

| Not sure what changed. That was the second time I did that. I did work and startkde is now present and KDE is working. Thanks. |
