Sounds very promising. I've been desperate for a good, custom 2.6.19 patchset for a couple of weeks now. Of course, I'm pretty much married to reiser4 so I'll have wait for that, but maybe I'll see if I can borrow beyond's reiser4 support in the meantime

Is this really a new patchset, or anyhow related to the "old" morph-sources from yardbird?

@gimpel: It's new patchset... if i can say that. I have made version for 2.6.17, but i've never published it publically.
Actually i use 2.6.17-morph8... The patchset, you ask it's not mine...

Why morph? 5 first letter of my nickname ;)

@rmh3090: Now i have some more free time to test it and correct mistakes...

@immudium: I'll try to include Reiser4 as soon as it is possible... Maybe even today? ;)
Just, please give my some more time...

@cato` thanks for mirroring!

EDITED: I have fixed last two patches and now it emerges fine ;)
I have updated tarball and it's available here: http://betacomp.org/~morph/morph-sources.tar.bz2

Have a great test time!

I'm going to turn your dreams into reality 8) ;)

Click here to download the newest version of morph-sources

Changelog wrote:
* Reiser4 Support added
* Software Suspend v2 Support added
* PHC (undervolting) patch added
* Sony laptops ACPI support and resume fix patch added
* All patches applies!

 If you would like to apply some more patches, please let me know... ;)
 If you came across some troubles, let me know. I'll try to help!
 May someone mirror latest version?
 Enjoy new kernel patchset!

:!:  :!: EDITED :!:  :!:
I have just upgraded the tarball... AGAIN!
I have included one more patch... build fix.

And now i can say, it works for me:
Code:
Linux PECET 2.6.19-morph1 #2 Thu Dec 7 15:44:33 CET 2006 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

 nvidia-drivers-9742 compiled fine ;)
 but i have some troubles with compiling alsa-driver... even the newest snapshot from portage :( I have to spend more time on it and then i'll let you know how to install alsa, or i'll update tarball... with new patches ;)
 Kernel-included alsa drivers works really good... it's not the same it was in previous versions...

But what can i say... I used libata pata drivers for my nForce4 in 2.6.17 and now i use them in 2.6.19... on 2.6.17 it stops for ~2secs when detecting atapi devices, ... now it doesn't stops...

Have a great time to test it!
Enjoy it!

I would apply it, but after i solve my 'burning problem' :P
It's funny becouse i can write on 2.6.17, but on 2.6.19 i can't

I have troubles with k3b and k9copy... They don't detect Toshiba DVD and Plextor DVD burner.
I can mount discs and read, but k9copy doesn't recognise my drives...
I also cannot write...

cdrecord doesn't detect my drives too, but when i modprobe sg and sr-mod then cdrecord detects my drives:
Code:
Cdrecord-ProDVD-Clone 2.01.01a20 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2006 Jörg Schilling
Linux sg driver version: 3.5.34
Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'.
scsibus0:

        0,1,0     1) *
        0,2,0     2) *
        0,3,0     3) *
        0,4,0     4) *
        0,5,0     5) *
        0,6,0     6) *
        0,7,0     7) *
scsibus2:
        2,0,0   200) 'ATA     ' 'SAMSUNG SP0411N ' 'TW10' Disk
        2,1,0   201) *
        2,2,0   202) *
        2,3,0   203) *
        2,4,0   204) *
        2,5,0   205) *
        2,6,0   206) *
        2,7,0   207) *
scsibus3:
        3,0,0   300) 'TOSHIBA ' 'ODD-DVD SD-M1802' 'J031' Removable CD-ROM
        3,1,0   301) 'PLEXTOR ' 'DVDR   PX-755A  ' '1.00' Removable CD-ROM
        3,2,0   302) *
        3,3,0   303) *
        3,4,0   304) *
        3,5,0   305) *
        3,6,0   306) *
        3,7,0   307) *

but even then k3b doesn't see Plextor :| and i cannot add device ;/
That's just funny

But i don't think it's kernel problem, becouse i can normal mount and read discs...

--------------------------------

I see overlay is not up to date
You have to wait 'til rmh3093 will update it or download a tarball...

morph2 not available in custom-kernels overlay.
download the tarball and untar to wherever you have your layman custom-kernels overlay.

When he ripped off his suspend2 patch from beyond, he forgot the fix for that.

Well, I was planning on releasing 2.6.19-viper1 tonight, but looks like theirs no reason to now. We don't need too many identical kernel patches.

Holding off 2.6.19-emission1 until grsecurity updates to 2.6.19.

thanks viper for your reply.
i dunno. maybe you should just release the viper-sources. for me morph-sources doesn't compile.
moreover i have always been very comfortable with viper and especially emission-sources.
