Hi,
I've searched among the sound recorder and editors... and most of them are too sophisticated for the simple task of sound recording (more specifically, speech recording).
gnome sound recorder is the best I've came across so far... with lossy speech recording capability that is perfect.
However, it requires tons of gnome packages to be merged. I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar software that is dependent on heavy desktop environments.
Thanks,

Probably the lightest you can get is arecord from alsa-utils. Then, there's rec from sox.
Both are command-line utils. |
