Hi I am trying to install Gentoo on a Dell Dimension C521 when I boot the default kernel I get a black screen I have also tried: gentoo -agpgart and still get the black screen
my monitor is a Dell 19inch and the comp has a built in Nvidia GeForce 6150LE. I am using the Gentoo amd64 live dvd. any help would be appreciated

At the boot prompt try typing
Code:
 gentoo-nofb

which will load the gentoo kernel without framebuffer support.

I have an E521 and this worked for me.
