Hi,

Trying to set up my printer. Its a HP Laserjet 5L...
Havent had these problems before.

I've set up parport-printing in kernel (gaming-sources) and I guess its set up correctly, 'cause a "dmsg" shows:

lp: driver loaded but no devices found

So my first question is (of course) why isnt the device found? A standard HP 5L. It works perfectly in FreeBSD (same machine).

Nxt question is...When trying to setup my printer in cups, I issue:

http://localhost:631/

in Mozilla. But only get a "Permission denied" ?? Whats going on?

EDIT: It helps to start cupsd

- However the first question about the kernel not detecting my printer is still unsolved im afraid
