Hi,
When I run kmplayer, I get the following message:

It seems there is no Xvideo support for your video card available.
Run 'xvinfo' to verify its Xv support, and read Xv section of DOCS/video.html !
See 'mplayer -vo help' for other (non-xv) video out drivers. Try -vo x11
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.

How do I enable Xvideo support for my video card (S3 Savage 4, driver vesa)?
Both Xfree and mplayer were compiled with "xv" in my USE flags.
I've searched these forums but found no answer to this question.
Edit: I'm using -vo x11 and kmplayer works now. Should I remove the xv flag from USE? What's the difference between xv and x11? |
