Hi,
I'm using Emacs with Gnome, and I'm trying to change the font sizes to be more acceptable. I'm not an Emacs, Lisp, or X guru, so I've just been using the point-and-click customization menus (i.e., Options>Customize Emacs>Top Level Customization Group>...) rather than the Emacs command line or fancy things with X. By modifying the items in the "Basic Faces" customization group, I've managed to change almost all of the fonts to my liking. The exception is the font size in the pop-up menus from the main menu bar. For example, if I start Emacs and left-click on "File" in the main menu bar, the pop-up menu for the File functions (Open File, Open Directory, etc.) comes up. However, the font size in this menu is extremely small and difficult to read. None of the options in the Faces customization group seems to affect it. Does anyone know how to?
Thanks,

Which version of emacs are you using. If it is 22.1 or later, then I believe the menu fonts are controlled by GTK, outside of emacs. You can try something like gtk-chtheme (from bash) to change the GTK theme, including the fonts. |
