Hallo allseits,
offensichtlich habe ich mir bei meinem letzten emerge update bzw. danach beim etc-update irgendeine Einstellungsdatei versehentlich überschrieben, jedenfalls wenn jetzt X-Window startet, kommt ein ausgesprochen hässlicher Login-Screen, anscheinend direkt von X-Window (zumindest ist das Logo des X-Window - System vorhanden), zusammen mit der Meldung "This ist an unsecure session"
Ich kann mich danach normal einloggen, es wird danach (anscheinend) genauso wie vorher KDE 3.5 gestartet, es geht eigentlich rein um das Login bzw. diesen Login-Screen.
Hat jemand 'ne Ahnung, welche Datei ich mir da überschrieben haben könnte, bzw. wo ich wieder einstellen kann, dass auch das Login vom KDE erscheint?

die Displaymanager env-variable befindet sich seit neustem in der datei /etc/conf.d/xdm

Komisch..ich hab das gleiche Problem, aber bei mir ist es durch den Eintrag in die /etc/conf.d/xdm nicht verschwunden:

gentooued: ich glaube du verstehst da was falsch
die DISPLAYMANAGER env-varaible stand vorher in /etc/rc.conf nun steht die aber in der /etc/conf.d/xdm
Bei dir kann es sein, das du die /etc/rc.conf irgentwann nicht geupdatet hast, und dadurch auch in der /etc/rc.conf diese variable drinn steht.
