Hi, Guys

I have a problem when emerging tetex. I am using Gentoo 2006.1 on an AMD64 machine.
If this is not the right place for this quesiton, I appologize.The error message is like this:

Did any one have such a problem before? Please give some clues.
I will appreciate any of your idea.

Do you have net-libs/libwww installed? If not, try emerging it and then
give tetex another try.

Hi, I have the same problem and I have libwww istalled:
* net-libs/libwww
Available versions: 5.4.0-r3 5.4.0-r4 ~5.4.0-r5 5.4.0-r6 ~5.4.0-r7
Installed: 5.4.0-r6

but still, I get this error:

/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.1/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lwwwdir
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Do you have /usr/lib/libwwwdir.so on your system?

no, I don't. :(

How can I install it, eix only shows these packages:

# eix libwww
* dev-perl/libwww-perl
Available versions: 5.803-r1 ~5.805
Installed: none
Homepage: http://search.cpan.org/~gaas/libwww-perl-5.805/

* gnome-extra/glibwww

try re-emerging libwww, or installing the latest (~arch) version.

I installed the newest version of libwww and then it worked, thx! :)
