Hi I am not hearing any sounds from my machine. I am using alsa and running artsd. Strange thing is my alsa seems to recognise the drivers properly and starts alsasound is ok. I have checked my cables. Artsd is also running in real-time scheduling. My onboard sound is Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB AC'97 Audio (rev 2). And, these are my drivers.
snd-intel8x0 19812 0
snd-ac97-codec 37984 0 [snd-intel8x0]
snd-pcm 65632 0 [snd-intel8x0]
snd-timer 15976 0 [snd-pcm]
snd-page-alloc 5616 0 [snd-intel8x0 snd-pcm]
snd-mpu401-uart 3760 0 [snd-intel8x0]
snd-rawmidi 14528 0 [snd-mpu401-uart]
snd-seq-device 4500 0 [snd-rawmidi]
snd 33156 0 [snd-intel8x0 snd-ac97-codec snd-pcm snd-timer snd-mpu401-uart snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device]
soundcore 4356 0 [snd]
Am i still missing out something? _________________ Life's happiness is in your hands |

Hi
Have you unmuted your volume controls ?
amixer set Master 100 unmute
amixer set PCM 100 unmute
and what ever else you need. If you have alsamixer installed you can start that and press "m" to unmute your channels.
Hope this helps |
