Help! I've been struggling to get some cdrom burning software installed, and now that I finally discovered that I just needed to disable ide cdrom support in the 2.4.20 kernel, it's working! BUT, now when my machine boots up, it says I have 6 cd-rom burners! Ack! What did I do? I can pick just one, but it's confusing k3b and making my configs really messy. According to dmesg, it detected my cd-rom driver for each LUN:

Well, never mind!
There was a little option in my kernel config that was turned on called "probe all luns on each scsi device." As soon as I saw it, I had a feeling that was my problem...and sure enough, it was. For the life of me though, I can't remember turning that on. Oh well. Thanks anyway everyone! |
