I have about 50 computers with no net access. Is it possible to install Gentoo on a virtual machine (or a dummy computer that has net access) and create an image of the disk that I can just "extract" onto the new computers' hard drives? |

If the systems are more or less identical, you can install on one, make a backup of the installed system and restore the backup on the other systems. There's a stage4 script that you can use for this purpose here _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Excellent, that's just what I was looking for (stage4 is an appropriate name as well!).
Wish me luck! |
