flash 9 work on my x86 box, with a 2.6.19-rt11 kernel and the in kernel alsa-driver, without any .asoundrc file. I use most jack as sond server so I have no need of a .asound file in my home directory.
The bad thing with flash 9 is at, when I listen to a concert from Concert Vault, the sound is hopping when I go to another virtual desktop, and sometime when I scroll a webpage in firefox. How can I fix this, or at least investigate it?
And more, how can I record the sound from flash 9? I try audacity, krec and krecord, but they are all oss programs, and they just don't see the sound from alsa? Same problem with jack, the sound from flash don't appear in my jack applications. Is it possible to do at flash will use jack?
EDIT: I experimented with the dmix plugin, but the sound with flash was worst, hopping even when doing nothing with the mouse or the desktop. And the only oss program that started without complaining about a missing sound device was krec, but it was impossible to record something with it. So, I am lost for now.
EDIT": arecord did record the sound from flash, so I am done with it for now (and without dmix, I saw at this have to do with my sound card that have hardware mixing and not with jack). But I still want to investigate if it is possible at any alsa and jack application can automatiquely use jack..
EDIT 2: I did get something in qjackctl with the following .asoundrc:
| Code: | pcm.!default {
type plug
slave { pcm "jack" }
}
pcm.jack {
type jack
playback_ports {
0 alsa_pcm:playback_1
1 alsa_pcm:playback_2
}
capture_ports {
0 alsa_pcm:capture_1
1 alsa_pcm:capture_2
}
} | but all I got is a lot of unconnected flash output ports. When trying to connect one, the result was "no ports available!". After maybe 30 seconds, almost all the flash ports was gone and it was only 2 of them left. When trying to connect one of them, flash and firefox was just crashing with a "unknown source port in attempted connection [alsa-jack.jackP.12333.59:out_000]" in qjackctl. _________________ As the thought come before the action, revolution means revolutionary consciousness!
